Could she have been pushed off a platform and landed wrong? Caught her leg in the fence, hay feeder or feed bunk? Been stepped on by a much larger goat or animal? Butted very hard by a much larger animal?

You can go to these 2 websites for a list of goat vets by state:

I wonder how that could have happened.
Thanks

If she isn't walking on it at all it is probably broken or dislocated. If it is a rear leg it could be a broken hip joint, pelvis or femur (the upper bone in the leg above the stifle joint). Have this checked by your vet. An unset fracture will not heal and a goat needs all 4 legs.

So she is walking on it - just limping? If so it is probably just sprained. I've had one other doe who limped for 2 weeks. And then all was well. I'd just keep an eye on her as long as she is applying pressure to it.
Best Wishes

Does she have anything stuck it the bottom of her hoof, or between her toes? She could have sprained it I guess

My little doe just broken her leg a few days ago and it took some time to swell-not long but some time anyway. Take another look later on if you don't find anything in the hoof. I squeezed my doe leg all the down too and she did nothing. The vet wiggled the leg left to right from the bottom up and you could see her leg move back and forth (left to right) right below her knee. apparently pressure is not always a good factor in coming to a conclusion about a break. She suffered for 3 days. I FELT TERRIBLE!

I got back from the feed store this morning and look up at my goats all of them were grazing but one she was up there laying down so i yelled at them( because they all run to me when I do that) and she tried to get up and did but had a hard time doing that so I went up there and she was not walking on it doesn't look swollen I went down and was feeling it and she just look at me like whats wrong with it doc. she hopped along to her feeding place as i fed them and she ate normaly then after she got done eating she stood there for a minute or 2 then just layed back down.
Thanks
