He may need worming and/or delicing. Have her check his lower inner eyelids, they should be a bright rosy to salmon pink. If they are pale pink or white he is anemic from worms, and this will cause him to be off feed and abdominal discomfort. I recommend using Ivemectin injectable for cattle give it orally at 1 cc per 25 pounds. You must be sure to give enough, the current recommendation by most vet schools is 3 times the cattle or horse dose by weight. Ivermectin is very safe even at huge overdoses. You can use a cattle lice pouron, CoRal Livestock powder, or 5% sevin dust for the lice. Be sure to treat for at least 3 weeks for lice.

He may also have an irritated or infected penile sheath.

I have a wether goat about 3 years old who I rescued so dont know any history of him.Recently he got a real bad stomach upset and was screaming so I called a friend who said to give him some mineral oil and some pepto bismal which I did and he seemed to recover just fine. This was a couple of months ago and I have since found him a good home. The lady called me today to say that he doesnt seem to be eating as much as the other goats and gets down on his knees and rubs his tummy on the ground.Do you think he is ok and we are worrying unneceserally or is there a problem. She said he is peeing fine.Do you think it would be ok to give him some cud starter
