Alex,

Go to the Fias website & look at all the kidding pics and info, it will help releave some of your fears. Print them if need be to have on hand.
Also not every doe will quit eating, I had a doe with the water sack hanging out still munching on her hay.

If you did stick your hand into your doe, I would give her some antibotics, as you have introduced bacteria and such into her.

If it would make you feel better go ahead and check her. Lube up good and slowly feel inside her. You should feel two hooves and a nose. The hooves will be soft just so you know. I would relax if she isn't pushing though. When she starts pushing it should happen pretty quickly. I would say it should all be over in 45 minutes. If not give me a call. I will talk you through it. IF I don't answe rthe first time call right back. My # is 812-738-6869. Don't worry about the time. I will keep the phone next to me. Just be sure to call back because my phone only rings 4 times and sometimes it takes longer than that for me to realize it is ringing. Don't hesitate to call me!!!

I don't have a kidding pen i planed to make one last year but all the kiddings went ok and my barn is clean with hay put down daily so it's very clean she still hasn't did any good pushing at all a few contractions (sp??) but that was at 2:30 and at 10:00 she wil have been like this for 24 hours SHOULD I GO IN TO SEE IF THERE IS SOME-THING WRONG? she was sold to me and i was told she is due 26 but if not he said a month eary he could have bred her! so today is the day. I was just out there and shes not doing any-thing all the others are grunting and it's warm so she should be ok. What should her butt look like (you know what i mean) i looked at the others and theirs are in towards the rump hers is sticking out an 1 inch mad-be i wish some one could come and help! I e-mailed a friend but they are 1 hour away so i don't think they can come! should a call a person and see what they think?

Do you have a kidding pen? If so put her up, give her hay and water and let her relax and maybe get down to business.

Relax!! Sounds like labor to me too. You may not see slime. I have had 2 does kid that didn't start sliming until the 1st water bag appeared and burst.
Good luck with the kidding!

She sounds like she is going into labor, but everything sounds pretty normal. Bet you have kids by this evening.
