Hi.
This maybe just a little vessel opens up when she has a bowel movement.
It doesn't sound like infection because the temp is normal.
As long as she is eating good and looks good and she is bouncy I would just watch her for more bleeding and watch her temp.

I am still seeing the red blood in her stool and I'm really at a loss for what it may be. I do not have a vet here around here that treats goats....they use the "if it were a calf this is what i'd do method". Please...if anyone has any idea what it may be I would sure appreciate some help..I really don't want to lose this kid.

We have doeling born January 30th that seems to be fine except I have noticed a slight bloody mucous in her stool. This is our first new kid and everything else appears fine. She is a 75% boar cross. Her birth was normal.....except I had to break the membranes....and she is very active, eating well and growing. I first noticed the mucous last night and then again this morning. Her stool is yellow with a thick consistancy and has some shape to it. Since she is nursing I assume this is normal...just really concerns me about the blood streaked mucus. Any ideas? Could this be some sort of infection? Any suggestions about what it could mean?

Thanks So Much!!
