If she is acting fine she will kid when she is ready. I have never been able to feel kids move and if you are seeing or feeling kids on the left side you are feeling the rumen contractions, not kids. Kids don't move much the closer it gets to kidding.

I don't know if your vet will sell you lutalyse to induce the doe since you don't know the kidding date, but you could maybe induce. If you are wrong, you are wrong and have to deal with premature kids (which usually don't make it), but at least the waiting would be over.

If she were mine I would wait until she gives me a better reason to suspect she is in real trouble.

You can always lube up and wash the doe's backside well and check to see if the cervix is open or if you feel anything.

I have also noticed most does udders will dramatically increase in size and fullness 12 to 24 hours before kidding.

Ooops I did give the ivemec orally. I don't know what I was thinking.
The bubble I saw I thought was pink. That is why I thought for sure she was going to kid.
How much longer should I wait for the one doe to kid before intervening? The one that has had the discharge for about 3 weeks. I have not felt any kids move. I went out to check tonight and felt what I thought was an elbow but no movement.
Thanks
Sammy

A thick creamy discharge (white or yellowish) for up to 2 weeks (sometimes more) before kidding is normal. If the discharge is bloody or looks like egg whites then kids should be born within an hour or so.

The bubble you saw was it clear or bright pink and opaque? If it was opaque you were probably seeing a vaginal prolapse or just the vaginal wall bulging a bit due to the kids position at the time. This is pretty common on does that are full fo kids and a bit overweight or short bodied.

The dog poop can be from the added rich green grass, deworming with the ivermectin was at the correct dose, but it does work better if given orally to goats. You may wish to deworm again in 2 weeks.

Yes, it looks like dog poo. I have wormed them with 1 cc per 25# ivermectin sq.
OK....the doe with the tail ligaments gone has been having a discharge of a creamy yellow colr that has been stringy at times. I have been concerned about the kid maybe being dead because I had a doe have 4 dead kids last week and she was bred to the same buck. I don't know if that has any thing to do with it or not.
The other doe....this is real weird. 2 weeks ago on a saturday night I went out to check on her and her "bubble" was right there where I could see it. I went in to get a blanket and the birthing kit and a cup of coffee, was gone all of 5 minutes, when I got back out there the "bubble" had went back in. I stayed out there 2 hours and she didn't seem real comfortable for an hour or so but then she was fine. I went back in the house at 2 am.
I have one more doe that is having a thick yellowish discharge but it is not stringy.
Help!

Hi there
Your goats are having bowel movement like dog poo right.
The first thing have you wormed them if so what with and how much.
Check their inner eyelids and gums are they pale or pink?
Let me know about these things.
Now on the two goats with discharge what color is it creamy white or stringy like egg whites and is it streaming staying just in a long string?
You say the tail ligaments on one have been gone a week and she has this discharge if so she may have a kid dead or turned wrong.
Go back and check tail ligaments again and check the discharge and see if they are arching back.

I have a couple of questions. First of all, my goats are pooping, for lack of a better word, turds. Not goat berries. They are on the same feed as always. I have been turning them out more often though.I thought after a couple of days they would go back to normal but they haven't and it has been over a week. What to do?
Second question, I have 2 pregnant does that have had a mucousy discharge for about 3 weeks now. Still no babies. The tail ligaments are gone in the one doe and have been for about a week. I don't know the breeding date on either one of these does. I am so frustrated with myself because I am usually able to figure the time out whether I know the date or not. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Sammy
