This works great...no scouring. In my opinion better than ANY replacer milk you can get anywhere. Many goat breeders swear by this formula and it has been used with complete success.

  • 1 gallon milk (homogenized)
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 cup buttermilk

Take the gallon of milk, and pour out about 1/3...set aside
Pour into the gallon, 1 can evaporated milk, and 1 cup buttermilk.....
then pour to the top of the gallon of milk what you set aside.....

About the author: Sueann and her husband Jene live in western NC, about 45 minutes north and west of Asheville. They have been raising goats for over 15 years, beginning 'back before time began' with Registered Angoras. They added Boer and percentage Boers to the farm shortly after they were introduced into our country. The choice to diversify has worked really well. Both Sueann and her husband are totally committed to their goats and to the industry, as a whole.
