ARE ASD's GOOD WITH CHILDREN?
Generally, Anatolians are tolerant of children and are good with them. Most of the time they will view the child as part of their flock or family and will guard it as part of their territory. Good common sense shouldl prevail, however. These are very large, powerful dogs. They can easily knock a small child down without meaning to. Parental supervision is always advised. It is always best to not allow children near an ASD or ANY dog while the dog is eating or chewing on a bone, toy, etc. It is essential to teach your child to respect the dog, and all other animals, both for the safety of the child and the dog. |
