I have a doe that was due May 18th. On that very day, she began talking to her sides and carrying on rather strangely that way. I waited a few days, and when nothing happened, I got worried & called a vet.
Under his instruction, I tried to feel around "in there" but didn't get as far as my wrist even, and felt nothing (and then my goat was furious). I gave it up as a bad job after a few more days. On Saturday,
I went to look at her and I noticed that her backside & tail were all gooped up with some slimy whitish stuff, so I thouhgt "who-hoo, here we go", but here we didn't go. No labor, no bag, still talking to the
sides, but that was it. I thought "cloudburst". Then, Monday, she began to bag up and I noticed traces of blood around the tail area. I thought she'd kid that night, but NOOOOOO. I reached in there again because
I got scared, and didn't get far again, and didn't feel anything. This morning, more blood (it's little amts), bigger bag, no kids.

Now, this goat is eating, drinking, passing normal stools & urine, and except for the side-talking, doesn't seem incredibly uncomfortable. Yesterday (mon) I saw her ruminating. I live MUUUCHHHH too far out for a vet to come
(at least for a normal price) and I thought, as long as she's eating, drinking, and eliminating, we aren't too far in the red.

Help anyone? Is she AT ALL in the realm of normal?? She is freaking me out!!!
Feel free to email me privately (in fact, only do that, since I won't be "on")
