boogers in the eye

Posted by Sandy on May 14, 2001 at 04:47:54:

I have a 3 week old set of Boer twin does. One has some yellow mucus in her eye. Mostly in the morning. No abnormal temperature, no runny nose, she is just as lively as her sister. The eye is so small I am having a hard time seeing if there is any redness. I keep the eye clean and free of the ooze and was wondering if goats can get a cold in their eyes? What treatment is recommended? Would squirting penicillin in it help? Any advice is helpful.
