The average is 150 days for gestation. I have kept records on my does over the years and they tend to kid at about the same amount of days over the years when they are consistant with twins or trips. If they are carrying a single or twins it is usually at least 150 days but I have one that will go 153-155 with twins or trips. Those that have had quads usually go before 150.
If you will clip the tail and down the back legs and the back of the udder before kidding the doe is much easier to clean up. Most don't want the front of the udder messed with till after they kid. I haven't tried it but plan to this year if I can remember to spray cooking oil or Pam on the back legs and back of udder when I see a doe is about to go into labor. It suppose to make cleaning the gunk off a breeze. Hope this helps. Kay
