First off I would not allow the kid or kids to nurse on the doe , pull the kids off as soon as they are born and pasturize the milk the first 3 days and feed it back to the kids . this is a CAE prevention measure . Second I feed mt girls pureiana dairy goat mix . as for milking get a sainless steel bucket for milking .build or buy a milking stanchion . I built mine out of scraps here on the homestead . e-mail me for the plans .After the 3 days I put the kids on a good milk replacer for sheep and goats .as far as how long you can milk her I milk my girls
up to 2 months befor kidding agin .hope this helps :)
