Is his legs like jello, or is he walking on them like he is walking on eggs? I talked about founder a few threads down. Has he had a change in grain or hay recently? Are his hooves overgrown or when you trim them do they have hard, resin (see through grey) looking areas in the sole? Do they have rasied ridges you can feel on the outside of the hoof? Founder and overgrown hooves make it very painful to walk. 4 years old is in the prime of life, unless he is dibilated with swollen knees from CAE. Get back with us on what you find out! Vicki
