I built the I-Did-It-Myself square hay feeder according to directions and it has worked great until...and this could have happened in a fence or any other place where horned goats can get lodged...one of our Boer-mix does got her horns hung inside it and either she pulled the feeder over on her fighting to get out, or the others pushed from the other side. You can never predict where or when something like this will happen. When I came back from the dentist, she was dead. Her kids will miss her and as it happens are old enough to be weaned without any problems. Moral: disbud as soon as possible any breed that you do not plan on showing.
