Vinegar can not change the PH of the urine. If given in large amounts the body simply neutralizes it. Ammonium Chloride is specifically used for deacidifying the urine.

If you feed to much protein the body naturally excretes it in the urine. Big reason since protein is the most expensive part of your feed tag, to understand who needs what protein and when. The body turns excess protein into uric acid, which is to hot to pass through the urethra, so the body pulls calcium from the blood or bones and wraps it (like an M&M) Now imagine all these M&M's or calculi's all jamming up at the end of the penis, trying to get around that little s curve at the end, once one jams up, than others do, and soon you have a clogged urethra. If the clog doesn't get lossened than the bladder fills to the point of bursting, then the buck dies of septicemia. Anything in the water which is first going to make your animals drink less, and also though I don't know the chemical part of sulphur to know the rest, I do know that over in Zavalla, TX they have had severe urinary calculi problems over thier! At first they were blaming this on a bloodline of boers, and now they know it is their water, and use ammonium chloride in their grain, and minerals without further trouble. This wasn't just one herd, but in a group of them. We also had a show in LaGrange every year, which we were warned to bring our own water for ourselves and our stock, not only because the girls wouldn't drink the water, even masked with Koolaid, but that the water would cause stone formation in our show bucks, this was very matter of fact common knowledge type information from folks who lived and had stock their.

Take this information a step further and you can see how the overeating of protein in the Western Diet, to much protein, out bodies are pulling calcium from our stores in our body, and women in the USA are more prone to osteoperosis, something that happens very infrequently in other countries because they don't consume as much meat and milk. The very milk you are drinking to increase your calcium stores is causing you to loose calcium! Vicki
