Sherry, heresn a big hug! i got teary eyed reading your post. i've been there too. I really cried my eyes out last feb when i lost my special doe wizard to a hard kidding. she was looking funny and i remembered the look from last fall when we lost another doe, Clarise to quads and lost the kids too. the vet tried so hard. We had to put ehr down as she had a ruptured uterus and the buck kid which was first pierced her intestines. It was very sad. But not as sad as loosing Wizard. i tried so hard to save here. We had to pull the kid, a huge doe who was born with his neck backwards. We called our vet but he was away. So we asked our wonderful neighbors to help as it was a difficult time. We got the kid out, i gave her medicine but it wasn't enough, she had internal bleeding which I couldn't see. She wouldn't eat much and drank a little. But I tried to get her to drink more, she didn't, so i hapened to recall before she kidded she was trying to nurs eher adopted mom from last yr. Wiz was a yr old when she kidded. I then milked out her adopted mom at midnight, she drank a little. But she ws going downhill fast. I then pushed the medicine from anit biotics to calcium glutante. i was loosing her, she died 36 hrs later. i went to the barn that night and she was getting cold, she had tears straming down her little face, I knew it was over and told her if she had to go i would understand. Man, i cried so hard when she died.

Then last moht I had to put down my first alpine Jackie. She had arthritis bad and the vet said she was in pain. he kenw somthing was different as when he comes out to do health papers she would run up to him and try to eat the papers. He came to do health papers before w emoved. So, I knew even though i might try all the home remedies or herbs in the world, bottom line was she was in pain. I couldn't hardly say her name without crying.

So, i know how it feels. Take care and hope you firgure out what it was. HUGS

Bernice
