They are Saanens. Great milkers and all come from great showlines. They have some Powder Basin and Perfection back one generation in their pedigrees. From what I know they are some of the best out there. I really wish I had looked closer at the bucks I took to sale this year. None of the other animals on the place have any scars and any other visible signs of anything like this. The little doe I reference has the extra teat... The extra teat is very small and almost looks like a skin tag. My parents are bugging me for a milk goat they can have, and I think I will pass her on to them. This way I can keep her close and be sure of what is going on with her. I am afraid someone at sale will buy her and then use her to breed. I talked to the person I bought her from and she has never seen it before in these lines.. but she also told me I should keep her and show her daughters... I think I know where she stands on this type of thing. Thanks again Vicki.
