Crazy weather it is! Lets see, here in Southern New England.. we went from a crazy, long winter, never thought the snow would melt... to unseasonabally warm, no rain for over a month and a half.. to 2 weeks of rain..(I know I shouldn't complain when those of you in river areas are flooded out right now) now to hot hazy humid weather complete with those thunderstorms that knock out electric fence chargers. (not that I've been through like 3 in the past 2 years or anything). Heat checking the beef herd a few nights ago was fun when a thunderstom decided to hit. I just find it a bit too creapy when a lightning bolt hits nearby causing the hair on your arms to stand on end. I know what you're talking about Gary!!!

Of course, this hot weather would happen when my clippers crapped out 1/2 way through shearing the herd. My milkers are all messed up with the weather changing so much. Even the humans don't like this weather :-)

Hope everyone is faring ok with their own weather woes!

My advice for a hot climate. "Creature Comfort Tip" Give you and your does a treat on the milk stand - Buy a clip on fan and attach it in your barn so you get a nice breeze during milking. (keeping the cord out of eating reach though!) My does just put their faces right in the breeze, and it helps keep the milkmaid cool too!
