Well we had a great week but we and the girls are glad to be home in the country. The girls and our son really had a great day yesterday at the 4-H Dairy Goat Show. Our Nettie Rose was grand champion nubian and our Ivy Marie was Reserve Champion. Our son won novice showmanship and mom has to brag a little because he really did a good job in a pretty large class. But the big award was last night at our pre-sale, 4-H wrapup announcements. Aaron (son) was awarded the top Junior goat exhibitor plaque for the week. He is going to have to work really hard next year to top off all his accomplishments. The finale of the evening was the sale of the market goat. He brought $3.00 per pound which will allow us to break over even for all the efforts. Thanks for listening and good luck to everyone who is getting ready for their shows and 4-H competition. It's been great! (By the way, the French Alpines did us in for best of show!). MaryMc
