I am not a fan of the cubes, very simply your goats can choke on them. But like all things goats, there is also folks who love them, hammering them apart :) or soaking them in hot water, like beet pulp, in the winter for the does in milk. I hate to feed alfalfa because of the waste, here with the humidity stored alfalfa simply leaf shatters and you are feeding very expensive stems. For years I have fed US Alfalfa, a chopped (long enough length to be used for hay, pellets can not be counted as long stemmed roughage) alfalfa, that is sprayed with a film of molassas (not detectable) and squished into 40 pound plastic bales. Purina also carries there own brand of this. It can be fed in grain feeders so there is no waste. A great alternative! Vicki
