Ariel Mars wrote an excellent article about this in The Countryside Magazine. I talked to her on the phone, she is in Oregon. She started her browse pastures with wild bird seed, which I thought was ingenious! I have since ordered the cattlemaster seeds from Premier, it has chickory and tons of other seeds in it. My does loved it, the wild birdseed and the chikory self sew here in the south so it didn't take much to keep this going, it does burn out quickly in the summertime though. The lepiseda sp is a great idea, the poor mans alfalfa that is not poor to buy the seed! Vicki
