Just be prepared to deal with diarrhea and any other side effects, but it is an effective antibiotic. And since you are giving probiotics in teh formula they should get over it pretty quickly. All BoSe is the same mg/ml and the normal dose is 1 cc per 40 pounds so he was dosed for about 10 pounds or so. I have given BoSe once a week for 3 to 4 weeks with kids that were very deficient, giving 0.25 to 0.5 cc each time. Selenium takes a while to work the muscle tissue has to repair and replace. Most kids will slowly get over mild WMD with proper feeding. Selenium can be very toxic, ther is a fairly thin line, and the only sign of toxicity is a dead goat. Maggie Leman Goat 911 Capri Medic

I think he got 0.25ml of Bo-Se, not sure of the mg of dose. Should I not give the Vit. E or Selenium. They had the 1st dose of Nuflor on 4/17 and are to have the 2nd dose 4/19(total of 2 doses). I also started the Oxytetracycline on 4/17. They are eating as well as previously, only side effect is the loose stools. So, the Oxytet will not cause diarrhea? I've been giving pro-bios in the formula. I don't know what to do! I want to do what is best for the kids, I want them to get well. I will not give the second dose of Nuflor, unless you say I should. Thanks, Tina
