Thank you so much for your help. I just never seen a doe respond like that. I am going to give her a couple of doses of revive over next 2 days for posiblity her system is out of balance. She is looking healthy and gaining weight even though nursing the twins. I will keep a special check on her for awhile.

If she has a urinary tract infection, she will pee constantly. She probably won't have a fever. She likely had a bellyache and is getting over it. She could be going into heat.

Maggie, I was preparing to load the doe up and take her to the vet but now she is not displaying any of the previous symptoms. I let her out in the yard and she went to aggressively grazing on the Tifton. I got to thinking if she had a uri tract infection then she most likely have some type of fever. I do not know if of what I should do for her since she appears ok, but just to watch her closely. It sure seemed like it could be serious for awhile.

I penned her up. After more observation I am suspecting a urinary tract infection. She was not grazing on the pasture but keeping up with the herd. The doe stretches when she stands. I seen her kick at times and the tail twitch. I have not been with her continously to see if she urinated latey but does not appear to. Her temp is normal 101.6 I did drench her with some baking soda solution after I first posted. I do not think it is bloat but just a well filled rumen belly. I do not know where to feel for a full bladder or how to confirm or treat a urinary infection.

She could be bloated or be acidotic from the lush pasture and corn. Give 1/4 cup vegetable oil to help relieve bloat and 2 tablespoons of baking soda mixed with water to help with acidosis. She definitely has at least a big bellyache and this could easily progress into enterotoxemia. Entero often has the symptoms you describe and slight bloat is a sign. Check her temp, goats with enterotoxemia often have a fever over 104. If this is the case start her on penicillin at 1 cc per 20 pounds by SQ injection twice a day and give her an oral dose at the same rate too. Give the CD antitoxin (this is not the vaccine but is the injectable used to treat cases of enterotoxemia) also using the label recommendations for sheep if it doesn't have a dose for goats.

She should not be eating corn , corn is not good for goats. Why do you give her it? She prob has a belly ache from the corn!

I have a boer doe with 2- 12 week kids.
This morning I gave her a cup of corn then let out to pasture. Later this morning I notice her laying most of time while the other does are eating away. She is calling out also for no reason I know of. I got her to stand then she stretches her body and belly out and holds that position some. Then she is soon laying down again. She does some moaning also. She appears that could possibly be slightly bloated but all my does are showing big belly these days because of much green pastures.
The doe was was wormed with Ivomec 2-day treatment on April 30, May 1.
She was not given any other grain since 2 days ago. Had CD-T shot 4 wks prior to giving birth.

Could she have acidiosis even without much grain, or perhaps could it be hypocalcemia, or a ketotic condition?
