Did not say what your feed is or how much protein but could be too rich for her at this stage. You might try cutting back on the amount of daily portion of supplement feed she is getting. From experience I know a doe is able to consume a higher concentrate which the body is using to produce milk. Now that the milk processing is shut down her body goes thru some type of hormonal change and no longer consumes the higher feed concentrate. Thus it is passed and affects the stool. Also this time of year many types of spring vegitation is watery and tends to soften the stool. |

Hi, She may just stressed out from the babies. I would go head and turn her dry. Worm her with Cydectin orally 1cc/18 lbs and again 10 in days. Give hee 1/4 cup of mineral oil orally and 15cc/60 lbs milk of magnesia she won't like this meds drench them down her. Barbara Howard Capri-Medic jamesa@mrtc.com 606-522-3388 KY

I have a doe that is not making pellets, her poop is formed into a hard ball - like she is constipated. There has been no changes in her feed. She is eating feed, browsing, & eating good quality hay. She is drinking plenty of water. None of the other goats have this problem. She is 5 1/2 weeks post-op c-section. Her kids are bottle feed because she did not bond with them, so she is almost dry now. Any ideas as to what the problem may be? Thanks! Tina
