Barbara! THANK YOU! Because of your comments, I rushed to the vet and she needed a C-section. My friends tell me I could have handled it (maybe) with them on the phone with me ... if it happens again, I will have a little more experience. thanks again, doe is doing well (nursing) and babie are awesome (we had three bucks and one was born dead) Jn 3:16

I have a doe that showed the mucous string about 5:00 p.m. tonight. It is now 12:26 a.m. and no kids. She continues to have contractions but the only time she yelled was when I tried to enter her. I could not feel a kids nose or feet (felt something but not sure what) I am not that experienced and did not know if she is really in "hard" labor or not. Does not seem as if she is because she takes breathers. Do you think I should call the vet? Jn 3:16
