This cross should do fine. I sometimes recommend using a purebred Nigerian dwarf buck on grade pygmy does. The more slender dairy type kids are often easier for many does to birth and the nigerian dwarf adds color and maybe blue eyes. Even purebreds bred to each other can cause size problems. Some bucks make big babies (so do some does). And your feeding regimen plays a big role. Too much protein can make big kids. Too many calories can make a fat doe that has trouble passing a normal sized kid.... Purebred Nigerian dwarfs do not have generations, are you thinking of the miniature dairy breeds like Dwarf Nubians, Minimanchas, miniature Alpines? The first generation is made by crossing a nigerian buck on a dairy doe, etc... Any generation fo these may cause a problem if it is a miniature dairy buck is being used on pygmy does. There is still a rather dramatic size difference. Maggie Leman Goat 911 Capri Medic
