Treat the "pimple" with an antibiotic cream (like Neosporin for people) or the spray. He will probably not like being sprayed in the face though.

It is very common for the CDT shot to leave a lump. You don't need to do anything, it will go away eventually.

I call that dull curly hair old kid hair. His new winter coat should start coming in soon and be much smoother with a downy undercoat. The minerals you have will help.

Th banded wethers should be looked at once a week or so and use the antibiotic spray on the site until the dried up scrotum drops off all by itself. This can take several weeks depending on how old they were when they were banded. Sometimes the site can look kinda oozy but that is pretty normal too. Sometimes there is a slight wound when the scrotum drops off but a bit of spray daily until it heals will do the trick.

Hi Maggie -

Well, we never ended up getting the bottle baby but we still got a new wether. Actually 2 of them. We couldn't resist. I have a couple of questions though. One question for each of my three Nigerian Dwarfs;

One of my little guys has what looks like a bite or pimple on his face between his eyes. I think I've read somewhere that you said to use diaper rash cream? I also read about using an antibiotic spray? I have the spray but just need clarification on which to use.

One of my other little guys (they are all 3-4 months old) got a CD&T shot roughly 3 weeks ago (he had it before we got him). He still has a little lump there. Is this unusual? Shoudl I be putting anything on it?

My other guy's coat seems to be kind of dull. He's black and his coat kind of looks like an "afro". I'm not sure if this is just his winter coat he is growing or if something is wrong.

My two new wethers are currently banded. My other one was done by the vet surgically so I'm not quite sure what to expect with them being banded.

They always have hay, fresh water, free choice baking soda and minerals (Golden Blend from Hoegger Supply) out for them.

Any input would really be appreciated.

Thanks - Megan
