Some things aren't meant to be. Many fetuses are defective and nature was just cleaning house. Hopefully this time will be the right time! Maggie Leman Goat 911 Capri Medic

Maggie: Thank you so much for the reply. I did not even think about the buck being the one to pull the doe down. When he bred her. The bleeding was before I had put the doe back in with the buck. So I will assume she lost her kid/kids from last month breeding. sniff sniff Thanks so much for all that you do for this message board. Deb http://www.geocities.com/boergoat6/

You know alot fo bucks fall over or have their legs buckle underneath them when they breed a doe and if he isn't fully off of her when he falls she is going down with him. Maggie Leman Goat 911 Capri Medic

Some bucks are very vigorous in their breeding and can make an unsteady doe fall. Many does abort an early pregnancy, just as many humans do. Humans don't notice because we DO bleed during our periods while goats typically don't. A very large buck can cause a bit of bleeding with a much smaller doe. And sometimes the blood is actually coming from the buck but being left on the doe. Maggie Leman Goat 911 Capri Medic

I have a Doe who was bred a month ago. This is her first breeding/kidding season. Each time the buck nailed her she fell to the ground. Yep along with him on top. hmmmmmm Now this month she went back into heat. I found small amount of blood on her hinney. I assumed she lost the kid/kids? She went back in with the buck of course when he did his thing. Down they both went again but this time she would not let him do anymore. Just curious if anyone else has seen this type of behavior. Falling down when bred, blood coming out, seemed to go back into heat. No more blood the rest of the day or even today. Thanks for any help you all can give me.
