I have a 4 year old pygmy doe who is approximately 2 months pregnant. Several days ago, I noticed that she had started breathing very heavily...not so much fast as just loud. She has no nasal discharge, no fever(temp. was 101.5 on a chilly day), she eats normally like a hungry pygmy, drinks, pees and poops normally. She exhibits no symptoms other than noisy breathing. I've heard does do this in the late stages of pregnancy when they are running short of lung space, but she isn't there yet. She does have that pg look like matronly pygmy does do, but still don't understand about the breathing. Anyone ever had this before in an otherwise healthy doe?
