I have used pruning shears or lopping shears to cut these off. I have a pair of nippers too that look like a farriers tool that I have used to trim scurs. Your hoof trimmers may very well do the job and they are very sharp. Have someone help you restrain the goat, best if you put her in a stanchion. She isn't going to like it much. If the scur wiggles some it should trim faily easily. If it is hard and thick like a horn but curly you might want to have your vet do the deed with saw wire.

I had my goat dehorned a year ago (8 wks old). Its horn/spur is growing back curling right above her eye and pressing into it. Any suggestions? I have heard of spur cutters but am new to goats and don't really know how to take care of this situation or where to even find them. Help Please!!
