It's probably just the weather change, but take their temps. If fever above 104 then treat with antibiotic for at least 5 days (Biomycin 200 at 1 cc per 30 pounds by SQ injection once a day for 5 days). If no fever they just hate the weather.

Its no bother, I am sitting here doing my taxes (yuck!)

The dosage for bo-se is 1 cc per 40 pounds, is that correct? Also, Maggie, I have a couple of kids that are a month old that I have just noticed standing around from time to time hunched up, but they are always eager to eat well. Should I give them a shot of Biomysin? Or could it just be because the weather has changed so drastically the last couple of days from 50 degree weather to 30 degree weather with snow. I have kept them locked up in the barn to keep the wind off the last 2 days because of the blowing snow. Maggie, so sorry to keep bothering you with so much, but I really am so thankful to have someone to help, I love this source of outlet for help with my goats, that I love dearly.

BoSe probably won't hurt but it could just be a slightly pinched nerve or pulled muscle that bothers her a bit sometimes.

My favorite fullblood boer doe has had a limp off and on since before she kidded. Just thought it would go away after the kids were born. But it is back. Her hooves are fine, no sores between the toes or on the hooves, I keep them trimmed every month or so, so they are not grown out badly. Would a shot of be-se help in any way? Or does anyone have any suggestions as to why she does this off and on. It's not so bad that she can't hardly walk and does not appear to be in any pain. She runs to the feeder, and eats well.
