You can take a sample of the fluid to the vet to have it cultured to see what antibiotic may be more effective. You might try using an intramammary antibiotic called Today. it comes in an applicator that you partially insert into the milked out teat and infuse the antibiotic right into the udder. She is probably trembling from pain. You can give banamine at 0.1 cc per 10 pounds for pain. Maggie Leman Goat 911 Capri Medic

I have a doe with mastitis on one side and I have been milking her 3 times a day, and giving antibiotics. She now has a bloody brownish liquid coming from her utter when I milk her out. And she trembles. Why? And what else can I give to help with this other than antibiotics? |
