One more thing Brenda do you have a nebulizer I have one I use for asthma if you do rig you up a mask and give her a breathing treatment if not thud her up around the rib cage but not to hard to help break this up a litte.

Do you have any Doprem it will help her breathing 3cc /100 lbs sq.
If you have Dexametazone give her 4cc of that sq twice a day for two days thin once a day for 2 days then wean her off.

Hi,Brenda
Yes it sounds like she is terribly ill.
Green to yellow is a seious infection and being as she sounds so congested it sounds like Pnuemonia.

If she has a temp give her 1cc of children's liquid Motrin per 10 lbs.

Now I would get her on Nuflor 4cc/100 lbs.
You need to give her some magic 3-4 ounces 4 times a day orally.

She is anemic according to pale membranes give her 12cc of vitamin b twice a day sq a for 5-10 days.
Get some Red Cell for horses and give her 20cc twice a day orally.

If she doesn't drink enough water you will have to get a turky baster or a 60cc syrine and drench her witrh it.

It is very important that you give her at least 1 gallon of water a day you can mix electrolytes in this also.
Keep up with the probiotics every day also.

It is very important to keep her hydrated or you can lose her to dehydration.

She has a little nasal discharge that is a dark green. She doesn't cough much. Her temp last night was 103.9. I need to take it again.

Her inner eyelids are a very pale pink. She was scheduled to be wormed on 3/12, but I wormed her yesterday with Cydectin. There was no change overnight - so I gave her Ivermectin today.

She never has run a temperature but her breathing is so labored and she is breathing through her mouth, not her nose. She had no interest in feeding her kid either.

I gave her some soupy oatmeal, molasses water, some goat pellets (which she ate a few of). I let her outside for fresh air and she ate some grass.

I've not checked for rumen sounds. However I did give her Probios today.

I'll go out and check her temp and let you know what it is.

If she hasn't eaten well in a day or so she isn't going to poop much. Something has to go in for something to come out. Goats digest food in about 12 to 18 hours or so...Give her Magic solution 2 to 3 times a ay. Mix 1 part molasses, 1 part vegetable oil and 2 parts karo syrup with a bit of warm water to thin it. Give a standard goat 2 to 3 ounces at a time. Be sure she is drinking water she needs at least a half gallon a day (standard goat). If she isn't drinking you will need to give her water by drenching.

Check her temperature if she still has a fever and is very mopey she is in pain and needs some sort of relief. Give motrin at 1 cc per 10 pounds every 4 hours or etter still get some banamine and give that at 1 cc per 100 pounds twice a day for a day or 2.

Try offering a warm bran mash or oatmeal gruel (a kind of slightly soupy oatmeal) sweetened with molasses.

I noticed this morning that this goat with pneumonia isn't pooping...I have her probios this A.M. She isn't drinking and is eating very little hay. Do you recommend something that I could give her to keep her strength up?

Keep giving the Tylan at 1 cc per 20 pounds once a day by SQ injection for at least 5 days. Five cc of motrin is only enough for a 50 pound goat the dose is 1 cc per 10 pounds. Banamine can be more effective. The benedryl won't really help and it can make them feel lethargic.

I have a nanny who may be in the early stages of pneumonia. She is withdrawn from the herd and her breathing is quite labored. Her temp is 103.2. I'd been giving her Benedryl for the past 2 days for a clear nasal discharge. I gave her 5 cc of Children's Motrin and 4 cc of Tylan 200. She weighs about 200 lbs.

I also began weaning her kid today because I don't want what she has to be passed on to her kid.

Any suggestions?
