"Beauty" is just that. A Black Beauty. With Beauty we have acquired somewhat of a lineage. Beauty is the mother of Tanya and also the mother of Dante and Cosmo. Her history says she throws Triplets.

The story and history behind Beauty is that we purchased her after we purchased two of her three kids (Dante & Cosmo) at a livestock swapmeet in Rogersville, MO. By the time we had arrived, someone had bought the other kid so we were left with these two.

Actually we were lucky to get Beauty because we took Dante & Cosmo home and they refused to eat. The man that sold them to us had given us a bottle and instructions but they would have none of that. They tried desperately to nurse Mary who was busy with her own kid Alpha.

We called the man and inquired about Beauty but he was reluctant to give her up. We went to his place in search of another goat and there she was. Udders swollen with milk and dragging the ground. Well as the story goes, he was reluctant but we had more money to offer than he had reluctance so home to our place she came. Also in the deal, we managed to get her other daughter Tanya.

Once at home, Beauty knew that Dante & Cosmo were her kids but they would have nothing to do with her. I presume I had a hand at that as I had sprinkled their tails with Mary's milk in hopes she would let them nurse. And sure enough, now Beauty was not needed.

The man we purchased Beauty from was quick to point out that she had a history of throwing triplets and that she was bred to a pygmy billy. She's been a one-of-a-kind goat in many ways. She has a particular bleat that can be rather annoying. But overall she is very friendly and somewhat independent of the rest of the herd (except at feeding time).
