Hello friends and lovers of farm animals and the beautiful outdoors! This web site is dedicated to the "hobby farm" of Gary and Pamela Pfalzbot who tend to our "pets" as strictly a hobby and enjoyment away from the rigors of everyday life. We are currently moving from Missouri to Colorado, and only the wind knows which town we may end up in. At the present time we are located in Monte Vista, CO, a small town located within the San Luis Valley. Our primary farm animals are Goats, but we also have a few Chickens, Ducks, Guinea Hens, a few assorted cats and two dogs (don't forget the dogs - pronounced "durgs" on the Rock Lane Farm). We "got into goats" out of necessity more than by choice. When we purchased our property, we had no idea that the property next door was infested with Kudzu. Soon, the Kudzu began growing very heartily and we knew we had to spring into action to get it under control. So what better choice than a hearty herd of browsing goats? How were we to know that this would all lead to the creation of GoatWorld and a whole new area of interest for us? We have no regrets!

Since we got started, we've had many goats. Most of these goats were of the "Brush Goat" variety but we love them all the same. We've bought and sold goats quite often, finally ending up with a herd of primarily does and one wether goat - Doc Wetherspoon.

As time went on and the Kudzu gradually began disappearing, we realized that we were truly hooked on goats and had decided to pursue them for more than just a part time hobby. Several nice people helped us out along the way - and to them we are grateful. We are also grateful that the twist of fate that life can often throw one's way actually turned out to be a twist of fate that turned out in our favor.
