This is exactly why I don't write articles. I have the hardest time making myself clear :) You don't want to give a buck a Bo-se shot then use him for breeding. But the effect of the lower sperm count wouldn't be seen for a couple of days, rememeber the sperm he is using tommorrow is already stored in his testicles and vas-deffrens (sp) but as the selenium goes through his system it will effect the sperm. When you have a buck collected this amongst other things are given to you in advance so you will have the most sperm collected. Your doe will be fine. If it had been perhaps a week later that she cycled, than the only thing you would have seen is a doe kidding with a single, or a doe coming back into heat. Vicki
