I agree with Kay. You are using Albon that is dosed for dogs which smells wonderfully of Vanilla and is just to dang expenisive for us to use. You can order Albon yourself from the Jeffers livestock catalog, buying the 40% injectable which you still use orally, or the Dimethox powder which you dilute in water and then give orally. They are like giving water, and in kids not on bottles full time, guzzeling them down, I would give it by mouth, making them take it. I am also not a fan of Safeguard for worming, if you have other goat owners in your area you may want to ask them what is working for them and at what dosages. Of course only ask for info from folks with nice animals you respect. DE is proven not to work in the digestive tract, it doesn't work in wet, period, and nothing is wetter than the intestine and gut. If you think about it logically it also does not know the difference between and earth worm and lady bug or good bacteria in the rumen, certainly nothing I would be feeding my does. If it does work than it only works once dried back to its original form in the manure. I use Valbazen on my kids, 8cc per 100 pounds, I really like its broad spectrum. On fecal I would have to use Safeguard at 5 times the dosage to get any kill at all, that pretty expensive. I am also having good kill still with Ivermectin 1% at 2cc per 100 pounds orally. At 21 days we worm all our kids, and also put them on cocci prevention, which is what your albon is going to do this time. Next time switch to something more reasonable. Tell us what you are going to buy and certainly someone on the board has used it before and can tell you the dosage. I use Sulfaquinoxiline 20% from Jeffers and pipevet.com 2cc per 50 pounds for 5 days. Vicki
