A couple of days ago I visited the chat room because I was worried about a Nubian doe that was HUGE, due to deliver soon and had started laying around a lot even though she was still eating and drinking well. We decided between us that she was just HUGE and I should have a vet look at her just to be safe.
The vet came yesterday and commented on how HUGE she was and asked if I was sure of her due date (it was today). We decided to go ahead and give her a shot to induce labor since she was already having a hard time standing up (hips kept slipping out). If she decided to carry over, she might not be able to stand up at all. Well, she didn't need the shot after all....at 3:30 this morning she gave birth to quads!!! Two girls weighing in at 6.25 lbs. each and two boys weighing 7 lbs. each! No wonder the poor dear had trouble standing up!
Thanks to all of you who held my hand and helped me not to worry...
Is this place great or what?! Let's go warm some bottles...lots and lots of bottles!
