Usually the evenings are the best time to find others in the chat room. I'm really not sure how up to date the chat room schedule is of late but we are always interested in having people moderate a morning or early afternoon chat. If anyone is interested in doing so, please contact pam@goatworld.com and she will get you set up.
What I've noticed over the past several months is that the best way to get others into the chat room is to announce it on any one of the email lists. Most often within 10 to 15 minutes quite a few people will show up.
I certainly wish I could participate more in the feature and hopefully in the future I can find more time to be in there myself.
Oh, one last note on the chat room. At least once or twice a week I get a few emails from individuals telling me that the chat room is not working. This is largely due in part to people trying to directly access the chat room from a link on another web site or just typing in the actual chat room address. This does not work.
To get into the chat room, it must be accessed through the GoatWorld site to prevent unwanted links on other web sites from cluttering the chat room with non goat related issues. This also applies to adding the chat room to your list of favorites on your browser and then trying to access it. This will not work either. The link to the chat room must come from the GoatWorld server only. While this might seem a ridiculous policy, it keeps out alot of non-goat related visitors.
