I dont' know..the guy we had was wonderful with giving over the telephone advise. As a matter of fact one of our goatworld members called our vet one time and he was only happy to assist. I also think that the money thing you mentioned also came into play here, the vet was more than happy to assist us, because of all the money my inlaws payed them each month.

Now as for Patrick, some sad news folks. You know the old saying the "Calm Before the Storm"..Well Patrick was up walking around and even trying to trot around, eating etc..Well he died last night. Wes went out to feed the goats and he seemed to have been doing ok, we have been going out and checking on him frequently though, and about 2 hrs after he ate, Wes went out and it seemed as though he was paralized and was dying. Within about 30 minutes he had passed away.

I wanted to see what we could have done about taking him maybe to Knoxville or even those vets we don't go to anymore, to see if they can do an autopsy. Wes got very upset and wanted to just bury him in a grave next to Nicholas. We decided to honor his wishes, so Mike and Wes dug a hole last night in the freezing rain and by the truck headlights and we had a proper burial. Wes seems to be doing ok. I think the difference is that he was a little more prepaired, knowing that Patrick was sick. With Nicholas it was almost within an instant with no signs of being sick.

Unfortunatly we will never know what he died of. Which is not a good thing, but I also could not bare to see my son get that upset again, which to me is more important.
