Hi Kerrie.. As for the genetics I'm at a loss on that question, but I do have 6 polled nannies and wethers. Two of my polled nannies had triplets back in 1999 and of the 6 kids born to those 2 nannies there were 3 polled kids. Bubba my oldest kid is also polled but he was due when I got my first nannies in 1994. I havent ever kept any of my billy kids as breeding bucks, horned or polled.
Tabetha is polled and bred to a billy that had horns when he was born but they are burned off now. She is due next April to kid. She is one of my does that had triplets back in 1999. 3 boys at that.. Hoping for three girls this time. Keeping my fingers crossed on that one. I still have her 3 boys and love em just the same. I think I broke my toe yesterday, I'm almost sure its broke, and I'm not looking forward to trying to make it out to feed the kids this afternoon. If they hit or step on my toe i'll have kids for SALE, REALLY CHEAP.. HEE,HEE. I might just better throw them hay over the fence to be on the safe side and not chance it. Oh by the way the kids didn't break my toe if anyone is wondering that.. I hit it on a piece of heavy furniture in the house. I'm not going to a Dr. for a broke toe, just for him to say yeah its broke and charge me $100.00 or more. I look at it like, it will get better when it gets better.. Sandy & Kids
