Hi Goatmom,
Thank you for your concern. It was a pretty wild night to say the least. There were a total of 4 tornados that touched down - luckily for us at least they were roughly 35 miles to the west and one 50 miles to the north. Unfortunately the one near Chesapeke, MO took a couple of lives and wiped out an entire mobile home park. So close to Christmas - how I feel for those poor folks. The weather was really strange - very warm for December. Mix that with the cold air and it is the spark that ignites bad weather. Now the ones to worry about are the folks to the east of us as the front passed through earlier today.
The worst I saw was this morning driving to work. It rained cats and dogs and several of those cloud to ground lightning strikes.
Haven't seen anyone in the Message Forum for a few days. Guess everyone is either busy or have abandoned ship. Thank you for writing. I'll be in touch soon.
