I used hand braces for awhile, got me over the initial problem. I now take MSN, Glucosomine and chondroiton (even though I just found out chondroiton comes from the trachea of a cow :( anyway it lubricates the joints and I don't even wear the braces anymore while milking. It also helped my hip which I really hadn't paid much attention to.
I rebreed my brood does. I have two that kidded in December, with a new buck here and them cycling in Feb. I just couldn't help myself. I will milk them through the pregnancy, since I have colostrum saved. I wouldn't do this to a first freshener, a doe with any health problems, or a doe who has problems like ketosis, or milk fever during pregnancy. Vicki
