I have a pygmy-cross wether who has a 'unicorn' horn -- unsuccessful disbudding. It is solid, not a scur. He is getting more aggressive and running off other goats at feeding time. Would it be safe to band the horn now with flies? I've read numerous posts on downside of banding, but my vet has cut the horns before(with something like a regular fence cutter)but I really don't like that option. Your suggestions please!
