I have never used a "zapper", however I feel sure that as far as your goats health is concerned a dead bug is better than a live one. Most, if not all insects spread their problems by injecting it into the animal and infects the animal through the bloodstream. The desease that the insect may carry cannot normally survive without a live body in which to habitate. Therefore, I would think that the debris would be of little consequence to your livestock. The only problem that I could see would be if you start having excessive debris and it falls into their feed. Although even this may not hurt your animals, I just personally would not like that. Keep in mind that if you are feeding, particularly a manufactured feed, chances are that there are already some bug parts in it. There is probably a certain amount of debris in some of the things we buy at our local grocery store. ...well that's enough on that subject, I'm starting to loose my appetite. I say ZAP those varments. That's my 2-cent on the subject and you can have it for nothing.
