I am sorry..I feel like I am monopolizing this board..I don't mean to (smile..)..just tell me to shut up if I am talking to much LOL
I just feel like with what has happened w/Nick I just can't be too sure anymore!! I went outside to check on my girls and boys this morning and I find my LaMancha seeming way fat in the belly..fatter than she was yesterday ..could this be because of the amount of hay she is consuming? We feed goat chow twice daily, and hay is there all the time for them, since the grass has stopped growing. I know goats can over eat themselves, but is there a such thing of giving too much hay?
Is this normal, and if not what should I be doing?? Everyone has a snotty nose. Goat mom suggested sulfa drugs which I have on order from Jeffers..has not come in yet. It all seems clear, not green..but it sure seems like a lot. I know giving an antibiotic for everything is not good..but I am so scared that another will god for bid.. die! We have the LA200, which we gave Eris (my LaMancha) a shot of last week when she had "green snot" (eww sorry) running from her nose. Billy Jack, who is one of Nick's triplet brothers seems kind of sluggish and slow today. I had bread I was taking out to feed them this morning..and he usually "comes - a runnin" and he did not..he came, but slowly taking small bites..which makes me think he is not feeling well either (sorry..I am being overly cautious at this point)..He has a pretty hairy runny nose as well.
Would a shot of LA200 hurt all of them until the sulfa drugs come in?
