Yesterday when my husband got home I asked him where he got the dosage instructions for the LA200 he was using, as he said we should give a second dosage at 72 hrs if needed. He said he read that on the box, and of course, being me I double checked, then went over to saanadeoa.com and read what their dosage instructions are.
You can dose 2 ways,
Dose #1 - 4.5 ml per 100 lbs (9mg/lb) (which is what we used) SC (SQ) every 36-48 hrs. it also says that the mfg label states a dose scedule of 72 yrs but blood levels are very low after 48 hrs
**we also dosed in the muscle in the hind legs not sq, because most of the goats are still kids**
Dose #2 - Can also be dosed at 3ml per 100 lbs (6mb/lb) once daily.
It also goes on to talk about Rapid IV administration of tetracylines and percausionary (spelling??) measures when dosing this way..so if anyone uses this method they may want to go over to http://www.saanendoah.com/ and read what they have to say about it.
