Try going to the GoatWorld Articles, and look under goat nutrition. I seem to remember there being an article there on feed. I always feed my goats a feed that is designed for goats. I feel that the animal nutritionists at the feed company know more about what should go into a mix than I. If I remember correctly from the post on -meet your goatworld friends- you live in Ohio. In NY we can get Blue Seal feed which makes a nice goat product called Caprine Challenger. You might want to see if your store carries Blue Seal products....I don't know what area they supply, but Ohio is semi close to NY. I have had very good luck with it. Just my 2 cents.
