How do they do it?
I went out to feed, both girls were just fine, gave them their grain, went to get a bale of hay, gone 5 minutes...and Tinker has a bloody mouth and a very loose tooth!
I guess Nellie must have butted her. The tooth is the second one on the right, in front. It lays flat out and is completely loose. There is a little blood, not much. She's eating her hay and drinking water.
I called the vet to see if I could give her anything for pain, or if I should do anything at all. She had me cleanse it with peroxide/water soltion, and try to twist it out (couldn't get a hold of it, though). Said not to give anything for pain, goats are too sensitive. And she does seem to be coping, she's eating, not crying or anything. I just feel so bad for her. :(
Vet said she will no doubt lose the tooth, probably not any damage to the jawbone, if she's eating OK. My poor little TinkerBelle! Any advice for me?
