How frequently should treat foot rot?

Ok, I got them nicely trimmed, cleaned, soaked in Zinc sulphate, and "protected" with Kopperkox (the green goo). I thought one very good application would take care of it, but did not, a month later and the nasty bacterias are still there.
So How frequently do we treat their foot, to get ride of it for good?
