My little Dwarf queen even feels she must demand respect from my horses. She really gives me the "willies" when she rears up in their faces. Doesn't she realize what a fat fluffy football she would make if they were so inclined??
And you are so right about the timid goat suddenly trying to gain a position in the heirarchy when faced with another who is smaller and more timid. Only, it doesn't even have to be another goat! I've seen Tinker try to sneak up and butt down small children if she is not familiar with them. Bad goat!
It is entertaining to watch them work out their herd heirarchy. And yet at the end of the day, they're still buddies.
